RqMA Architecture + Design is a research-driven, interdisciplinary design studio with a strong focus on Architecture and the built environment, with the intention to deliver holistic, human-centric design solutions. The firm strives to be the answer to a new and better future, providing bespoke solutions through a process grounded in emerging technologies driven by parametric design practices. Teaming up with experts, our vision aims to create pieces custom-tailored to our client's industries, demographics, and users to integrate with the cultural and social fabric of the corresponding society.

Founded by Principal Architect and Design Director, Rashiq Muhamad Ali, who is a research-oriented Architect. His design process is well-informed and derived through a continuous state of research in all phases, defying the accepted norms and seeking innovation on all fronts. With a primary focus on emergent design technologies & parametric design practices, he adopts a systematic and creative approach to problem-solving, analyzing results, and implementing bespoke design solutions.

He brings in almost two decades of high level design  experience to the team. His work as Lead Design Architect with Zaha Hadid and 10 Design in Hong Kong has left an impactful design footprint across continents, implementing sustainable solutions on notable projects of various scales and typologies. As a firm believer in education and evolution, he and his firm continually push themselves to research, experiment, and explore manufacturing techniques with the sole mission of shifting the paradigms of design and architectural principles. RqMA Architecture + Design are based in the UAE, but their work transcends borders and is not limited by location of typologies. It's the firm’s nature to test boundaries, and it's their attitude to welcome challenges of every scope and scale.
